We love what we do and above all we love our nature. We attach great importance to quality, reliability and responsibility towards our ancestors, our descendants, our employees and our guests. We live this philosophy at the Gut Berg Naturhotel.
- Sustainable enjoyment
In our kitchen, we use products from our own farm – such as the meat of our cattle, as well as the eggs of our chickens.
When selecting other foods, we pay attention to regionality and origin. - Heating with renewable raw materials
Not only the self–produced products from the farm are used. We obtain the wood for the wood chip heating for our Berg estate from our own forest. As a renewable raw material, wood chips are considered environmentally friendly compared to fossil fuels.
- Local products and producers
A chain of right decisions leads to valuable and high–quality food. Because we at Gut Berg want to know “where the kimb comes from“.
Many of the products come from ourselves. The schnapps is distilled ourselves, the natural products are made by our grandmother with a lot of love, and our meat is mostly from our own farm. We obtain the clothing for our team from a traditional costume outfitter in the neighboring village. - Warmth, genuine hospitality and fair trade

Car-Free Vacation
Would you like to spend a holiday WITHOUT a car and leave the metal box at home in the garage? Then come to Gut Berg Naturhotel! We are happy to pick up our guests from the St. Johann im Pongau train station upon request, free of charge. Additionally, with the Salzburg Verkehr Guest Mobility Ticket, you can travel free of charge on all public transportation throughout the entire state (available at our reception).
The best excursions and hikes are directly accessible on foot from our hotel, whether you’re with family, alone, or with friends—there’s something for everyone.
